Prof. Dr. Markus Cornberg is Deputy Director of the Clinic for Gastroenterology, Hepatology, Infectiology and Endocrinology at Hannover Medical School (MHH), where his research focuses on immunological analyses of infectious liver diseases. Since 2019, he also holds the position of Clinical Director of the Helmholtz Center for Infection Research (HZI) in Braunschweig and thus represents the clinical link between the HZI and the MHH. Together with Prof. Dr. Yang Li, he has headed the Centre for Individualized Infection Medicine (CiiM) in Hanover since 2019, where the development of AI-based methods for the analysis of complex interactions between pathogens and immune responses is an important focus.
