Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Fabian Sinz has been Head of the Chair of Machine Learning at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and the Campus Institute Data Science (CIDAS) at Georg August University Göttingen since 2021. His field of research is the interface between artificial and biological intelligence. He brings his expertise in data-driven digital twins of biological systems to CAIMed: These are models that have been learned from data and mimic the biological system in important aspects. Digital twins can play an important role in the understanding of biological systems and the design of drugs and therapies.
