At the international AI conference <strong>IJCAI-ECAI 2026<\/strong> in <strong>Bremen <\/strong>, <strong>CAIMed mentor<\/strong> Prof. Dr. Marius Lindauer<\/a> presented current approaches and examples of applications for the medicine of tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">In his presentation, Lindauer demonstrated how CAIMed integrates AI research, medical research, and clinical application. The examples ranged from <strong>predicting sepsis in pediatric intensive care to computer-aided image analysis for lung cancer diagnosis, as well as foundation models and causal AI.<\/strong> At the same time, they highlighted CAIMed\u2019s goal of developing new approaches for so-called \u201cWorld Models for Medicine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">At the booth of the <strong>Northern AI Research Alliance (NAIRA)<\/strong>, Lindauer also presented <strong>current CAIMed use cases.<\/strong> The discussion focused on how trustworthy and causal AI can contribute to better clinical research and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research presented sparked interest among representatives from the fields of education, business, and society.
