The\n The University Medical Center G\u00f6ttingen (UMG)<\/a> As part of its strategic planning, pursues the consistent further development of its profile-forming research focus areas of neurosciences, cardiovascular medicine and oncology with translational approaches, including as a partner location of the health research centers\n German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK)<\/a>,\n German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE)<\/a> and\n The German Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ)<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The UMG is closely networked on the G\u00f6ttingen Campus with the natural and life sciences institutions of the university as well as the non-university institutions on site. In the field of data sciences and computer science, the UMG cooperates closely with the\n Campus-Institute Data Science (CIDAS)<\/a> of the university and is part of the Lower Saxony Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Causal Methods in Medicine (CAIMed).<\/p>\n

CAIMed links locations in Lower Saxony in methodical AI research, data-intensive medicine, biomedical informatics and basic medical research to form a unique research network for AI and personalized medicine.<\/p>\n

At the Institute of Medical Bioinformatics at the UMG, the CAIMed a University Professorship (f\/m\/d) Integrative Bioinformatics (tenure track W2) as of 01.06.2025<\/span> to be filled. <\/p>\n

The appointment is for a period of three years. If the interim evaluation is positive, the employment contract will be extended for a further three years. The transfer to a lifetime professorship (W2) without advertisement takes place after a positive a positive evaluation of the junior professorship in the fifth year.<\/p>\n

CAIMed is creating 13 interdisciplinary junior research groups in the clusters \u201cAI and Semantics\u201d, \u201cAI and Decisions\u201d, \u201cAI and Drugs\u201d and \u201cAI and Signals\u201d to address current research and application issues. The professorship includes the establishment and management of a working group in the CAIMed cluster \u201cAI and Semantics\u201d with a focus on \u201cMachine Learning for the Exploration and Integration of Multi-Omics Data\u201d at the Institute of Medical Bioinformatics in close cooperation with the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
