As part of its strategic planning, the University Medical Center G\u00f6ttingen (UMG) is pursuing the consistent further development of its profile-forming research areas of neurosciences, cardiovascular medicine and oncology with translational approaches.\n as a partner site of the health research centers German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK), German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) and German Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ).\n (DZKJ). The UMG is closely networked on the G\u00f6ttingen Campus with the natural and life sciences institutions of the university as well as the non-university institutions on site. In the field of data sciences and computer science\n the UMG cooperates closely with the University's Campus Institute for Data Science (CIDAS) and is part of the Lower Saxony Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Causal Methods in Medicine (CAIMed). CAIMed links locations in Lower Saxony\n locations in methodical AI research, data-intensive medicine, biomedical informatics and basic medical research to form a unique research network for AI and personalized medicine.<\/p>\n

The appointment is initially for a period of three years. If the CAIMed network is extended for a second funding phase, the junior research group will be extended for a further three years. CAIMed is creating 13 interdisciplinary\n junior research groups in the clusters \u201cAI and Semantics\u201d, \u201cAI and Decisions\u201d, \u201cAI and Drugs\u201d and \u201cAI and Signals\u201d to address current research and application issues.<\/p>\n

The junior research group is the head of a working group in the CAIMed cluster \u201cAI and Semantics\u201d with a focus on collaborative development and validation of AI based on questions of digital image diagnostics using blockchain-based technologies.\n technologies.
